Remember the Dreamers

Social Campaign + Video • Non-Profit Organization

In 2020, with the Supreme Court's DACA ruling weeks away, the American Council on Education and the Protect Dreamers Higher Education Coalition needed to move fast. They needed to cut through the legal noise and give Dreamers, and the people who support them, something clear, human, and shareable.

Clear and Urgent Copy

I led the scriptwriting for an animated explainer video built to make DACA intelligible to anyone. Plain language, real stakes, a story that didn't lose people in the details.

Humanizing the Issue

To connect with audiences, we crafted a "Faces of Dreamers" feature on the website. A narrative hub where real voices and stories lived, not just facts. By centering personal journeys, the campaign went beyond policy and became something people actually felt.

When the Court ruled to preserve DACA, the explainer video spread quickly across digital platforms. The work was built for exactly that moment, and it was ready when it arrived.
